We are actually coming to the end of this journey. The cabinets, floor, and appliances are all in. All that's left is some painting and the tile backsplash installation. The cabinet maker, plumber, and electrician have all been awesome...keeping to a good schedule, solving problems as they've arisen....very impressive. I cannot say the same for the folks installing the tile floor and back splash.

We are smack in the middle of the "during" phase....the cabinets are mostly all in, the countertop is on, and the tile has been laid. There is still a ton of work to do, but we are on the downhill side, I think. The floor will be grouted tomorrow, and we will be able to move some appliances in on Sunday. Well, the kitchen is completely gutted and some paint will be going on the wall around the window today. We have changed our minds on the color, so what was posted before is wrong. Picking a paint color could be a nightmare just because there's so danged many to choose from. As 2010 came to a close, I took a moment to reflect on what that year had brought me....adventures, family, and a semblance of health.
